Peter (Pete) John Driscoll born May 1, 1954 passed away on January 3, 2020 succumbing to a sudden illness. He is survived by his three brothers Bernard (Margaret), Theodore (Melanie) and David. Nephews and nieces, Nora Day, Adam Driscoll, Paul and Jeremy Driscoll and Katy Lebkicher. Grand-nephews Logan, Max and Silas. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Pat Driscoll and Bernard J Driscoll. And brothers William and Walter.
Pete fixed motorcycles, played drums and golfed. He did all three with gusto and skill.
If you frequented clubs in and around DC through-out the 60s, 70s 80s and 90s, you caught his act. He was the guy drumming with his eyes half-closed and a smile on his face. He also kept the beat for thousands of Driscoll jams. Adam cut his guitar playing teeth with Pete drumming. Nora sang. The nieces, nephews and grand-nephews all got a chance to beat the drums.
Pete lived to golf. One of his treasured memories was playing Pebble Beach on his 50th birthday. Brothers Tad and Dave swung many a club alongside their Bro.
Pete was the master of the “Fall Down”. He could tell a story that would make you laugh so hard you’d be on your knees gasping for air with tears running down your face. Thanks Petey!
Pete loved life and lived it to its fullest. His engaging smile, quick wit and charismatic personality lit up the room. You just couldn’t not love Pete.
Pete will be incredibly missed. The last thing he would want is to see us down-hearted and morose. So tune up the guitars, pop a frosty and let the music play on.
A proper send-off for Pete is being planned. We will post the details as soon as arrangements are made.
And as Pete always said “Love you. Mean it”.

Please join the Driscoll family in celebration of Pete’s life on January 19, 2020 from 1pm – 4pm. The gathering will be held at Montgomery Country Club, 20908 Golf View Rd, Laytonsville MD.
A lunch buffet will be served. There will be a cash bar.
